Feast of the Holy Name – Friday, January 1
January 1st may well be the most anticipated New Year’s Day in quite some time, as we, along with the rest of the world, prayerfully hope and look forward to better times in 2021. But all our days and moments are in the hand of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and it is in him that we find our strength, guidance and deliverance.
Therefore, what better way to start the New Year than by remembering that it is also a feast day in the Church, The Holy Name of Jesus; the eighth day of the Christ Child’s young life, when he would have been given his name according to Jewish tradition.
Please join us for a Holy Eucharist live streamed on January 1st at 10 am. Bring your prayers, hopes, and desires not only for this New Year, but also for St. Matthew’s and our common life as a parish family. May our loving Lord bless all of you in the upcoming year!
With Love in Christ,
Rodney+
