“Knitwits” – Women’s Knitting Group
Do you like to knit but don’t know what to knit or know where to give the items you complete? If so, consider joining the Knitwits. Every Tuesday morning, a group of dedicated women come together to talk, pray and knit together from 10 – noon. The group knit prayer shawls as well as hats and scarves. The prayer shawls are given to people having difficult times in their life and the hats and scarves are delivered to the Seaman’s Church Institute in Philadelphia where they are given to sailors coming into the Port of Philadelphia. Knitting is a low cost hobby that can give huge rewards. For more information about the Knitwits, please contact the church office.
Women’s Group
The Women’s Group meets monthly to discuss a selected book. All women of Saint Matthew’s are welcome to come enjoy good fellowship and join in an interesting discussion.
Men’s Breakfast
The Men’s Group has a great breakfast every third Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Guys take turns as “chef for the day,” cooking things that some say are not good for you – but, then, it is only once a month! What is good for you, for sure, is the spiritual food that follows breakfast as the group reflects on how scripture speaks to us in our daily lives. All men are welcome. Please call the Parish Office to confirm attendance.
